A headstone can be erected as soon someone has been buried as this won't disturb the ground where the headstone is placed. In fact, you can find graves which have headstones erected even before anyone is buried in the plot. However, if you wish to install a surround around the perimeter of the grave we suggest that you let the ground settle for 3 months erecting this.

You only have to choose the stone you like and decide on the wording for the inscription. We take care of everything else including your local Council's paperwork. We're on hand to help you with suitable wording, if desired.

We have many customers who live abroad and therefore can't visit the graves of their loved-ones as often as they'd like; yet they still wish the grave to be clean, tidy and the headstone in good order. We carry out a full range of work for these customers, from grass cutting and weeding, to intensive cleaning, repainting lettering and additional inscriptions, removal of old gravestones and the installation of entirely new headstones and surrounds. When placing an order from afar, we will work closely with you by phone, post or email to ensure that your input into the work you would like us to do is not hampered by the fact that you live abroad. We will always provide you with a no-obligation quote before carrying out any work and will provide you with large format colour photos of the finished work.

Please note that most other monumental sculptors will charge extra for the inscription (often £3 - 4 per letter) and more if you would like the engraving in silver or gold and that you may have to factor these fees into the overall cost.
